This was my submission for the final project assignment for SOM’s Expression Sessions I took back at the beginning of 2020… an advanced course in After Effects expression writing using JavaScrip and incorporating CSV and JSON files.

I had been using expressions in After Effects for several years. However, I find these focused course with scheduled instruction, assignments and a forum for other students to share their work is one of the best ways to really get into a flow and dive deep. With After Effects gurus like Zack Lovatt and Nol Honig at the helm you can’t go wrong. I took the course in it’s inaugural session, and really wish it had been around years ago. 

UI interface elements are entirely animated using After Effects / JavaScript expressions.

The only keyframes being used for actual animation are on the roving camera.
